How to Use

Converting Time

Open Timezoner in Messages

In a Messages conversation, tap the Apps button (grid icon), then select Timezoner.

Search for a City

Type a city name in the search bar. Tap one of the suggestion bubbles to select it.

Adjust the Time

Spin either time picker to find your desired time. Both pickers stay synchronized automatically.

Copy and Share

Tap the copy button to copy the time, then paste it into your message. Long-press for format options.

Tip: Long-press the copy button to choose between three formats: just the time, time with "your time" context, or time with the city name.

Managing Saved Cities

Switch to Saved Cities Tab

Tap "Saved Cities" at the top of the app to view your saved timezones.

Add Cities

Use the search bar to find cities and tap the suggestion bubbles to add them to your list.

Organize Your List

Drag cities to reorder them, or swipe left on any city to delete it from your list.

Frequently Asked Questions

In any Messages conversation, tap the Apps button (the grid icon next to the text field). Scroll through your available apps to find Timezoner, or swipe right on the app drawer to see all apps. If you don't see it, you may need to enable it in the "More" menu.

This date indicator helps you understand when the selected time falls relative to your local date. If you're in New York and select a time in Tokyo, the date chip will show you if that time is on a different calendar day than yours. This prevents confusion when scheduling across large timezone differences.

Yes! Timezoner supports common abbreviations like NYC (New York), LA (Los Angeles), SF (San Francisco), and many more. The search also recognizes common alternative names for cities. Just start typing and the suggestions will appear.

Timezoner includes 700+ cities worldwide, but if your city isn't listed, try searching for a nearby major city in the same timezone. You can also search by timezone identifier (like "America/Chicago" or "Europe/Paris"). The app uses the comprehensive iOS timezone database as a fallback.

Currently, saved cities are stored locally on each device. If you use multiple iOS devices, you'll need to set up your saved cities list on each one separately.

Yes! Timezoner works completely offline. All timezone calculations are performed locally on your device using the built-in timezone database. No internet connection is required.

In the Saved Cities tab, simply swipe left on any city you want to remove. A delete button will appear, or continue swiping to delete immediately.

Yes! In the Saved Cities tab, press and hold on any city, then drag it to your preferred position. Release to drop it in place. Your custom order is saved automatically.

Unlike most timezone converters where you enter a time and see the result, Timezoner lets you adjust either timezone and the other updates automatically. This makes it easy to find a time that works for both parties - just spin either picker until both times look good!

No Data Collection

Timezoner does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app operates entirely offline on your device.

Local Storage Only

The app stores your preferences (selected timezone and saved cities list) locally on your device using iOS's standard storage. This data:

Never leaves your device
Is not synced to any server
Is not shared with any third parties
Is deleted when you uninstall the app

No Analytics or Tracking

Timezoner contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. We don't know how you use the app, and we don't want to.

No Network Access

The app makes no network requests. All timezone calculations are performed locally using your device's built-in timezone database.
